Some of you may not know this…but Ouran Highschool Host Club was my first anime. And so this makes this tag fun and kinda nostalgic. Thanks Ava@ Reads, Rhythms, and Ruminations for tagging me for this super fun tag! (And oh gosh, she did this tag in February…I’m so late. 😭). Anyway, if you haven’t checked out Ava’s blog, you have to! She has some amazing book and anime content. And even though this is a book tag…I’m gonna include Webtoons. Just because.m

QUESTIONS:
Theme Song- a misleading character.
Well…how about Seonghyun Moon from Dr. Frost? (MAJOR SPOILERS)
So, he starts off as one of Frost’s biggest inspirations as a psychologist, but now…we (the fans) are all pretty darn sure he’s a murderer and some sadistic blend of Moriarty and Johan Liebert.
Haruhi- A character every other character loves.
Clary Fray from The Mortal Instruments. I mean, three guys at one point had crushes on her. Tessa just had two.
Tamaki- A character who started a movement.
I’ll have to go with Ava on this one and say Katniss from The Hunger Games. She may not have meant too, but she did help start a war. What makes this funny is that she and Tamaki are nothing alike.
Kyoya- a character with parental issues.
Gah. What fictional character with a crummy past doesn’t? Let’s just ramp this question up from ten to a hundred and say Jin Seon from Bastard. Talk about parental problems…
Kaoru and Hikaru- Brotherly Love.
Ugh, both Icebreaker and Ava stole mine…Icebreaker said Will and Jem, and Ava said Fred George…what am I to do? LOL, I’m gonna cheat and say my cats. Because why not.
Mori- A character who is scary on the outside but a bundle of fluff on the inside.
Simba from Saphie The One Eyed Cat. He looks stoic and calm, but is actually a cuddler.
Honey- a character who loves to eat.
Ugh, I know there are a million book characters for these questions, but none of my recent reads apply to these questions except for Webtoons! So now, I have to say Saphie from Saphie the One Eyed Cat. (I’m failing with books..)
Renge- A Tag Along character.
I have neglected books for too long, so how about Liza from Stalking Jack the Ripper? I mean, even though she’s portrayed as “feminine” she’s still pretty darn strong. We need more characters like her.
Nekozawa- A Character who likes the dark side.
The S.I.D gang from S.I.D. I mean, they tackle ghosts on a daily basis!
I TAG:
Morissa
Eileen X
D
Maniacal Book Unicorn
Nadwa@ Painfully Fictional
Krysti @ YA and Wine

Congrats on the tag! I loved Ouran High School Host Club 🙂 This looks like a really fun Q & A, thank you so much for the tag!! I’m not familiar with some of the characters you named, but enjoyed reading your answers and have added some stuff to my to-read list.

Same! It was my very first anime (that wasn’t Ghibli). And it was so much fun! Ah, yeah. Most of them were Webtoon characters, mainly because a lot of the books I’ve been reading lately didn’t match the criteria. And I look forward to your answers!

Sounds like a great introduction! It was my first shojo once I learned what anime was (outside of what most saw as a kid), and started actively watching it ☺. They seem really interesting either way. Thanks!

Yeah, it was. I didn’t think I’d like it (so zany!) but ended up loving it. And yeah, do lemme know when you start reading Webtoons! I need to make a list of stuff to read on there, kinda like what you did with anime!

Same here! Yeah, that would be amazing! 😁 I’ll keep an eye out for when you do.

It was fun reading your answers. I confess to not having watched Ouran yet though.

Oh…hmm, if it’s anything, I typically lean towards the psychological/dark anime series, and still really enjoyed this. I think it was the self-aware humor that makes it stand out.

Thank you for the tag! I actually read few manga of OHSHC and watched the anime few years ago, it was so funny 🙂

No problem! And yeah, both the manga and anime are hilarious! (I’ve read/watched both)

Thank you for the tag! I’ve embarrassed to say this, but I’ve never read Manga before. I totally need to get on that! Loved reading your answers!

Ah, that’s okay! I think that when/if you start reading, find something that matches your genre likes first. Because if you don’t, you’re likely to just be weirded out, because a lot of manga and anime are…out of the box, to put it mildly.

I’m totally good with out of the box. I just don’t even know where to start to be honest. Any suggestions?

Well, that’s good! I have a few general recommendations, like Steins;Gate (my current favorite anime), and even though I’m only seven episodes in, Monster (an amazing psychological thriller so far). But which genres do you like? That’ll make it easier to give recommendations!

Awesome. I’ll have to look into these. I like all genres really. I just usually read YA, because of my blog.

Ah. That makes sense. I suggest you do your own research and see what appeals to you! Lemme know which ones you decide to read/watch.

Hehe…when I got to that question, I was like, “well, there are a plethora of book characters to choose from…forget it. I’m going with Bastard.” 😂 And yes…both of my options were taken, so I was just, “Well, time for another cat photo!”

But it fits!!! Also cat photos are the best, I like the one you took. They look so cute together! ❤️

I can imagine, I bet the father and Jin will have some struggles along the way.

Awesome post! Thanks for the shoutout! Your cats are adorable. Also, I’m sorry for the inexcusably late response. I haven’t been around the Blogosphere lately. Great answers! 🙂

Thanks! And yes, I was stumped on that question, and I thought, “Well, forget it. Time to assault my viewers with cuteness!” And it’s no problem! I get that you’re busy, so it’s totally okay!

No problem! It was definitely cute! What are your cats named by the way?

They are named Dwight (big ginger one) and Buddy (small dark one)

Thanks! Yeah, Buddy’s name was originally a tester name, (me and my dad wanted him to have a fandom name lol), but Buddy stuck.
