The Nintendo Book Tag!

Okay, okay…I admit it…I’ve never been much of a gamer. (Dramatic gasp). I know, what a shocker. Anyway, thanks Nadwa @ Painfully Fictional and Icebreaker694 for tagging me for this really fun tag!

NES (Nintendo Entertainment System): A classic you want to read

Hmm….well, we did have a choice book thing in my latest lit class…and I got Huckleberry Finn. So I guess, that.

SNES (Super Nintendo): A sequel you liked more than the first (can be a second book in a series)

I suppose Clockwork Prince, from The Infernal Devices series. The characters were really explored in that one.

Nintendo 64: A book that revolutionized the way you look at the world
Well, I guess I’d have to go with the Harry Potter series. I read the first four when I was around seven or eight, so they probably had an impact on me then. And I read the last three when I was either ten or eleven.

But if we’re going with something more recent, I may have to say either the Webtoons Annarasumanara or Dr. Frost. I found myself relating to so much in Annarasumanara, and Dr. Frost really drove home the idea that there is often more to people than meets the eye.

Gamecube: A popular book that did not go over so well with you

Allegiant. The plot twist was surprising, but obvious at the same time somehow. And it wasn’t necessary; it just felt like shock value.

Wii: A new favorite book

A new favorite? Well then…my parents just got me Stephen King’s Different Seasons for a very belated birthday present…so I guess that’s my newest favorite.

Nintendo Power: Favorite graphic novel series or a series you want to start

I have so many though! Ugh, fine; I guess my current favorite is (predictably) Dr. Frost, and one I want to start is (predictably) Tokyo Ghoul.

Super Mario: A character that you’d love to squish like a Goomba

Ugh, I am becoming so predictable with this one…I guess Seonghyun Moon from Dr. Frost. I’m getting the feeling he’s some horrifying blend of Moriarty from Sherlock and Johan Liebert from Monster. But Moriarty was more likeable!

Zelda: A newer fantasy that you consider to be a modern classic

I refuse to say Harry Potter again…so… Maybe Cassandra Clare’s books? Ugh, I wish this wasn’t limited to fantasy…that’d make it so much easier!

Samus-Aran: Favorite sci-fi novel or one you want to read

Easy! I’d really like to read Jackaby; it sounds like an amazing blend of Sherlock and Doctor Who!

Pokemon: Book editions that you want to collect

Maybe a collection of manga? I dunno which ones..maybe a collection of Monster volumes? ‘Cause those are huge (and pricey) when sold separately.

Donkey Kong: A book with original characters

Haha, some of the most unique characters I’ve ever read are from Snailords’ Webtoon Nightmare Factory…talk about zany and unpredictable…

Nintendo Fandom: Favorite Nintendo game(s) or game

I’m not much of a gamer, but I really loved Club Penguin and MySims as a kid…(And no, I totally still don’t play MySims nowadays…😅)

I’m not gonna tag anyone today because I feel as though everyone’s done it already…but if you haven’t done this tag yet…

YOU’RE TAGGED! There. I did tag someone…hopefully…
