The Would You Rather Book Tag

Thanks to The Twins @Twin Bookmarks for tagging me for this tag! They have awesome book reviews; you should check them out.

The Questions:

Have an unlimited money for Ebooks, or a 5,000 dollar B&N giftcard?

Well…as much as I support Ebooks, I can say that they aren’t for me. It’s a weird sensory thing. (You can imagine my vague discomfort when the villain in Psycho-Pass said that he didn’t like Ebooks, and that one of the reasons was because he found physical books “better’ in a sensory way πŸ˜…) So yeah, I’d have to go with the gift card, just because I like B&N.

Meet any deceased poet, or J.K. Rowling?

I’m not a huge poetry fan, so J.K Rowling!

Write the world’s most famous book, or visit the world of your favorite book for one day?

Okay, this is hard. I like writing, but I don’t want my book to be the most famous one in the world. But at the same time, most of my books have worlds I wouldn’t care to visit…maybe the Grisha world from Six of Crows?

Choose ______ or ______ ? (Insert characters from your favorite fictional love triangle.)

Well, technically, the best love triangle I’ve seen would be The Infernal Devices, but I didn’t get around to choosing one ship for that one πŸ˜…. Let’s go with the Webtoon Siren’s Lament, in which I ship Lyra and Shon a bit more than Lyra and Ian…I have no regrets. Hopefully.

Experience Hogwarts in a very realistic and accurate virtual reality, or travel around the world for a year, at no cost.

I would have to go with the real world on this one. As much as I love Harry Potter, traveling is really expensive, and so traveling around the world without any cost? Nice!

  1. Oh that’s a psychopathic trait right there – not liking ebooks! xD (You never fooled me, Kate)
I would love to visit the Grisha world… It’s amazing and beautiful and intricate and just so epic. I never liked Ian much, and especially not with Lyra, but I guess I don’t see her with Shon either? Hmmm need a third element hahaha
Also, definitely traveling for free! Hogwarts would be awesome as in actually being real, not virtual reality…
    Great tag! πŸ™‚

    1. …I have no reply…πŸ˜… (Guess I’m more transparent than I thought…is it all the reviews I make on thriller fiction?)
I know! The Grisha world is so fascinating and well written. I’d love to visit it, but only for a day…it’s as dangerous as it is awesome, haha.
LOL, that is a problem. As of now, the ships are kinda shaky there…
If I could visit Hogwarts physically, that’d be great. I may have chosen that. But because of it being virtual…eh. That’d be cool, but not as cool as the real world, and traveling for free.

  2. Thank you! This was loads of fun! I just finished mine but I won’t be posting it for about a week or so πŸ™‚ I’m with you on the eBooks…I try and I do have them, but they aren’t my favourites. And I totally agree with traveling! I cannot wait to start traveling; too bad I can’t actually go for no cost though… 😦

Thank you again for tagging me! ❀

    1. That’s okay!
I think my dislike for ebooks may be because the first ebook I read was Thomas Paine’s Common Sense…in eighth grade. Add that with the sensory dissonance and difference from physical books, and I never liked them. I support them (almost anything that gets people reading is good), but I don’t use them.
I know. I used to travel more with my family, but since we moved, we can’t really travel any more. (Sigh)

      1. Ahhhhh, that makes sense. I didn’t travel too much with my family growing up so I’d really like to start soon πŸ™‚ With family, with friends and some individual adventures πŸ™‚

  3. I so agree with traveling around the world. The expenses are soooooooooooo high. *forever crying* Hogwarts = cool, but not the most for your money. πŸ˜‰ And I’m so the same way with the books in the first question. Ebooks = cool as well, but I loveeeeeeee a good physical book. This was a lot of fun to read, Kate! Thanks so much for tagging me, and great job! πŸ˜€

    1. Yep…it’s even worse after I moved. (Sigh)
Ebooks are a great way to get people reading. But I just don’t like them. Maybe it’s not only sensory stuff, but also the fact that my first ebook was Common Sense by Thomas Paine back in eighth grade…hmmm…
      And no problem!
