3 Days, 3 Quotes Tag, Day 3

Well…today is the last day for this tag. I’m a little sad, I had a lot of fun with this one!

Thanks, Icebreaker for tagging me for this, I loved doing it!

I chose an anime series I recently got back into for today!

In case the picture doesn’t load… the quote today is from Monster!

“Can you see me now? I know you can barely see anything now, but when I’m this close to you, what do you see? What can you see when you look into my eyes? I was born in a town that was straight out of a fairy tale. Many people died there. And when I walked away, I held hands with my other self. To me, it seemed like we were the only two people in the whole world. Neither of us possessed a real name.”

-Johan Liebert, Monster

Monster is an anime that has fabulous dialogue in both the dub and the sub. I don’t think you can go wrong with this one.

  1. This was so much fun, Kate! I will admit that most of the days, I was just scrolling down to read the quote and I didn’t realize it was a tag???? Idk, how I missed it, but every day, I was like, this is so much fun. Thank you for tagging me! I loved your pick for today. I am super intrigued by this one and definitely going to have to try this anime out! ❤ Wonderful post!

    1. That’s okay! I know I would’ve been doing the same (when my friend tagged me, it was on the first day, so I didn’t have to miss it, haha). Monster is an amazing anime, but let me tell you, it gets dark. There’s a reason I had to take a break from it. Plus, most anime I watch is a little over 20 episodes. This one is 75. But it’s amazing and painfully underrated. But it also has light episodes here and there that some people call filler, but I don’t. I think they’re an important part of the theme of the series, and gives us a nice break from the darkness. It’s one of the few thrillers I’ve seen that isn’t totally dark, and I appreciate that.
It also has some of the best writing I’ve seen, both dubbed and subbed. However way you watch it, you can’t go wrong.
Sorry for the long comment, I’m just so excited you’re interested in it!

      1. Yes! To be honest, you do breaks from the darkness, because after a while, it’t just too much and you’re just sitting there in the darkness and then it’s not there for just all darkness all the time. But I am intrigued and glad to know that it does have some brighter moment. I definitely will have to check it out with your glowing review of it. 😉
