The Sunshine Blogger Award!

Thank you Biblionyan and Dani for nominating me! They are both amazing bloggers who have a lot of interesting things on their blog, so I highly recommend them!

Rules:

• Thank the person who nominated you and give them a shout-out with a link to their blog.

• Answer all of the 11 questions created by the person who nominated you.

• Nominate 11 new people/blogs with a fresh set of 11 questions of your choosing. (I’m so sorry, I don’t have enough time to nominate 11 people and come up with 11 questions…I’m just going to use a mix of the questions I’ve gotten, okay?)

• List the rules in your post and share the Sunshine Award Logo either in the post, or somewhere on your blog.

Biblionyan’s Questions:

1. If you could watch the sunrise from any place on Earth, where would it be?:

Okay, anywhere. I like traveling, so I guess from any of the countries I’d like to go to.

2. What is your favourite season for reading?:

Any of them? I like reading year round.

3. What’s your biggest pet peeve when reading reviews?

When people won’t acknowledge that someone may actually like a book they disliked. Overly negative reviews (reviews in which they don’t like the book and won’t say anything that the book may have done right) irk me. I have read my fair share of bad books, but I can usually find something it did right.

4. What book, or other medium (anime, TV, Film, etc.), did you have the most fun writing about?

Okay… either my review of Noragami Aragoto or Psycho Pass.

5. If you could re-live one day from your past, what would it be?

This’ll sound pathetic, but maybe the ComiCon I went to back in July. That was one of the best days of my life that I can think of.

6. Name a genre you have always wanted to try, but feel intimidated by.

I tend to not get overwhelmed by genres. Mostly the genres I don’t read are genres I don’t like much (westerns and sports).

7. Name one book, or other medium (anime, TV, Film, etc.) you expected to hate, but ending up loving.

Well…Little Monsters and RWBY.

8. What are two books on your Bookish Bucket List (or two books you want to read more than any of the others)?

Well, I dunno if more than any others, but I desperately want to more of Naoki Urasawa’s Monster, and I’ve heard a lot about a book called S.T.A.G.S lately.

9. Name of your favourite musician.

Currently, Yuki Kajiura. She did the music for Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Fate/Zero.

10. If you could change one thing about your blog, what would it be?

I’d post more often.

11. If you only had five more minutes left to live, think of the person you’d most want to speak to. Tell them.

Woah. I dunno. This got deep fast. Maybe my parents? I dunno.

Dani’s Questions:

Who is the one person that is the sunshine in your life?

They’re not a person, per se…but my cats. Were you guys really expecting anything else from me?

Do you prefer all happy movies, or occasional sad movies?

I like thrillers. 😜 No, but seriously, a mix of both.

What is the one food that always makes you happy?

Food from the place I used to live. Man, it makes me homesick.

What is the sunshine on your blog?

Um…I dunno? Maybe people enjoying what I post?

What is your favorite holiday?wacky “fun” day?

Either Christmas or my birthday. Cliche, I know.

What is one thing you love about yourself?

Crud. Um…my tastes with movies, books, and TV?

What is one think you love about the blogging community?

How open and accepting the bloggers I’ve met are.

What is the one book that made you smile the most?

Not a book, really…but the Webtoons Saphie the One Eyed Cat and A Budgie’s Life are adorable.

Where is your corner of sunshine in your home?

My chair. I get stuff done in it.

What is your favorite color or colors?

Purple!

What is the one movie (or drama) that always makes you happy?

Marvel movies are fun for me.

I nominate: (You can choose to do either Biblionyan’s questions or Dani’s questions, or a mix of both!

      1. I will definitely be looking up more Yuki Kajiura’s music. If it’s all as amazing as her Madoka Magica stuff, I’m in for a treat! 😀

      2. She’s also the composer for a J-Pop group called Kalafina. They’re really good, and do the PMMM ending song. And a lot of other amazing music.
And yes, Fate/Zero has FANTASTIC music. I have a feeling that was part of the reason I started watching it earlier than I intended.

      1. Ditto. I just don’t have enough time to write posts much. It’s kind of sad. I just have so much to do…at least I’ll have a lot to posy about when I DO have time.
And you sound busy, so I’m not pressuring you by any means, but I have updated my story (I think you can turn on notifications for when shared documents are updated). No need to read ASAP if you’re busy, but I’m just letting you know. Besides, this part’s gonna take a while for me to read…it’s dialogue heavy.

      2. Yeah, time and motivation are wells that don’t have. XD Ah well, I try to get what I can, I just hope it’s enough for now. And ooh nice! I’ll try to get to it when I can. I want to do it on the computer now that the app seems to lag for me. (But I’ll test it some more.) And I get email notifications, but it only emails me when you reply to a comment (I haven’t responded to all of them yet. Erk.) Oof, dialogue is tough. I believe in you though! 😀

      3. I wish I had more of both 😅
I think the longer a doc is, the more it lags on the app. Although I’ve noticed my phone’s app is still nice and fast, so I don’t know. And sadly, I also only get notifications on comments.
And thanks! At least one of us does.

      4. Maybe it’s because two people go in it at the same time? That’s when I noticed it started to lag, but it’s slow in general, so I don’t know if that’s it. Yeah, I don’t know how fix the notifications for when more parts of the document are added. : /

  1. I don’t think it’s pathetic at all! It’s a moment in your life you enjoyed wholeheartedly and I think that is amazing. 😀 Loved reading all of your answers.

      1. My friends and I use that word often, so heck yeah it’s a word, haha. Sounds super exciting, I’d probably be fangirling hecka hard too. XD

  2. This was so much fun to read, Kate! I loved reading your answers! 😀 And kitties area always the best. 😉 And those webtoons are so cute looking!! And I didn’t know your favorite color was purple? It is such a brilliant color. I had more to say but it’s all gone now. XD Wonderful answers, and thanks for the tag!! ❤

    1. I’m glad you liked reading them! I need to update my cat photos…but they take so much storage! Sigh. And those webtoons are definitely in my recommendations list somewhere. Honestly, on my blog it’s hard to find favorite colors…but definitely not when it comes to my wardrobe XD. And I totally understand; I often forgot what to say while commenting!

  3. Negative reviews are a double edged sword for me. It can be fun reading someone bash a thing you dislike. Whenever someone unfairly rants about something I like however it makes my blood boil.

    1. Same. It is a bit of a guilty pleasure to bash something I don’t like, although I always try to find at least one good thing about it (but sometimes I can’t, although that’s very rare). And when I see more unfair reviews for things I like, I get frustrated, because I have a hard time thinking of arguments that are more subjective on the fly.
