Rapid Fire Book Tag

I have seen this tag everywhere but have yet to actually do it…so here we are!

The goal is to give short and simple answers!

E-Book or Physical Book?

Physical books. I’ve said numerous times that there’s something about e-books that I don’t like sensory wise. I just like the feeling of books.

Paperback or Hardback?

Paperback, because they tend to be lighter and cost less. Though if I’m desperate enough to read something, I will happily read the hardback.

Online or In-Store Book Shopping?

In store. Books are comforting.

Trilogies or series?

It depends on the books.

Heroes or villains?

I prefer a good anti-hero and/or villain because I find them more interesting.

A book you want everyone to read?

Either The Book Thief or I am the Messenger!

Recommend an underrated book?

I Hunt Killers.

The last book you finished?

Little Monsters.

The last book(s) you bought?

I decided to try out Kara Thomas’ other book, The Darkest Corners.

Weirdest thing you’ve used as a bookmark?

Either my watch or my phone.

Used books: yes or no?

Depends on how well taken care of they’ve been.

Top three favorite genres?

1. Psychological mystery/thriller/horror

2. Fantasy

3. Science fiction

Borrow or buy?

I’m confused. Borrow from the library or from a friend? If library, borrow. If friend, I’d rather buy.

Characters or plot?

Ideally, both. Characters can make a poor plot interesting but maybe not enough, but bad characters can make me too mad.

Long or short books?

Depends on how busy I am.

Long or short chapters?

Short chapters.

Books that make you laugh or cry?

I don’t cry during books…only internally.

Our world or fictional worlds?

Fictional.

Audiobooks: yes or no?

I’ve never tried one.

Do you ever judge a book by its cover?

…Yes.

Book to movie adaptations, or book to TV show adaptations?

The only TV adaptation I can think of is Durarara, but I can think of countless movie adaptations…(sigh) movies (though I want more TV)

A movie or TV show you preferred over the book?

Hate to admit it, but there are parts in The Martian I like more than the book. Some of the science in the book flew over my head.

Series or stand-alones?

Stand-alones, as of late. Though I love a good series!
